Rebates, Incentives & Cost

Verde Pros in your local area can help you determine the size and cost of a solar installation to fit your particular needs with a visit to the installation site. The first step solar customers should take is to determine if their site is feasible for a solar installation.  Verde Pros will also help you obtain rebates and incentives available in your location.

Example Solar PV System Prices:

Actual costs may be significantly higher (20% or more) than those listed below.  There are several factors that can influence the installed system cost, including your location, site feasibility, local weather patterns, and system design options.

Price estimates include all equipment and installation costs, but do not take into account any rebates or tax incentives. Optimal system size is based on your production goals, electricity usage and your site's location, building orientation and other characteristics.

Residential Solar Electric Systems

Average residential solar PV prices by system size:

  »  1 kW system X $10.00 per W = $10,000.00 *
  »  2 kW system X $9.00 per W = $18,000.00 *
  »  4 kW system X $8.50 per W = $34,000.00 *
  »  6 kW system X $8.00 per W = $48,000.00 *

Commercial Solar Electric Systems

Average commercial solar PV prices by system size:

  »  10 kW system X $8.00 per W = $80,000.00 *
  »  20 kW system X $7.95 per W = $159,000.00 *
  »  50 kW system X $7.85 per W = $392,500.00 *

* - Average purchase price before rebates
kW - kilowatt
W - watt

Rebates and tax incentives can vary according to several factors, and are available from a range of sources including local, state and federal government, as well as utility companies.  Rebates on solar PV systems range from 10% to 60% or more of the total system cost.  Visit the DSIRE homepage for information on rebates and incentives available in your area.
