Guaranteed Choice: This product is a Generic Renewable Energy Credit (“REC”) backed product meaning that 100% of your annual usage will be offset by our retirement of non-specified RECs that are generated somewhere in the United States. Your status as an Illinois rate payer means that in 2018 13% of your annual usage will additionally be covered by RECs that meet the State’s Renewable Portfolio Standard. Even though this is a generic product last year 100% of the electricity used by each customer served under this green product was covered through the retirement of Texas Wind RECs. Past resource composition is not a guarantee of future resource composition and is only provided to meet the requirements of Ill. Admin. Code. 83, Ch. I(c) 412.190.
