Top Reasons Why We Overhauled the Verde Energy Website

There are a lot of reasons why a business will completely overhaul their website. For us, there were several key reasons we invested our time and resources into improving the website for consumers. 

  • First and foremost, we wanted to provide site visitors with more value.
  • After talking with customers, we realized we could do better in terms of providing customers with tools to get more done online.
  • We also felt that it was time for a fresh look that better represented our business. 

With these things in mind, we spent a fair amount of time deciding how to build a better website, and then we got to work!

At Verde Energy, everything we do has the end user in mind. That’s why we specialize in clean energy plans that have a positive impact on a local area and on a larger scale. So when we decided to revamp our website, improved user experience (UX) was at the top of the priority list. 

Every element of the new website, from the size of the buttons to the top navigation titles, was well thought out in an effort to make browsing an enjoyable experience for users. In particular, the new layout and flow of information makes everything easier to read on a smartphone or handheld device with a smaller screen. Because let’s be honest, many consumers are searching for information with their phone when they’re on the go. 

We want to make sure that you can easily find what you need no matter how you’re viewing the Verde Energy website.

More Features and Functionality

A major part of improving the UX was adding features and functionality that make the website more useful in general. Some of the new features and functionality include:

  • Separate portals for Existing Customers and New Customers that makes it much easier to find the information that’s relevant to you.
  • Simplified energy plan finder – just enter your zip code and you’ll see all of the available plans and rates instantly.
  • More ways to connect with the customer care team in one click.

Adding this functionality is a huge upgrade for the website, but that doesn’t mean we’re done making improvements. The best part for consumers is that we can continue improving the website to provide even more features and functionality. We’re currently using feedback from site users and customers to decide which functionality is the most important to focus on first. 

Enhanced Aesthetics

We also enhanced the website to incorporate visuals that are better aligned with our green energy brand. Current customers have probably noticed the new logo that wasn’t included on the old version of the website. Before it was just our name, but now there’s an actual logo to represent Verde Energy. 

We still have our trademark green, but most of the visuals and design have been updated to improve the look and feel. The website is more crisp, clean and open so that everything is easier on the eyes even when you’re on a phone. 

100% Carbon Neutral Natural Gas Plans Are Now Available!

Another reason we knew it was time to overhaul the Verde Energy website is because our services are expanding. We’re very excited to announce Verde Energy now offers 100% carbon neutral natural gas plans! Now you don’t have to make the choice between affordable natural gas and green energy.
